The 4 Phase reboot of Qatar begins next week and lasts for 3 months. 

From Next Monday June 15th PHASE 1

· Limited opening of mosques

· Trips outside of Qatar due to extreme necessity only. But Quarantined for 2 weeks in a hotel at your expense when you return 

· Shopping centers partially reopen with large stores only

· Health clinics can operate at 40% plus emergency services

· Parks open for limited exercise for over 12’s only

· Workplace still restricted 20% staffing 

From July 1st (3 weeks’ time) PAHSE 2

· Opening of malls for limited hours

· Opening of markets with restricted capacity and hours

· Opening of museums and libraries with limited capacity and hours

· Workplace staffed at 50%

From August 1st PHASE 3

· Low risk inbound flights for priority passengers like returning residents. With 2 weeks quarantine in designated hotels at your expense. 

· Full opening of shopping centers

· Limited opening of restaurants

· Nurseries and crèches reopen

· Health clubs, fitness halls and swimming pools. Beauty parlors, barbers and hairdressers all at 50%

So around another 8 weeks for that haircut then.

All going well, September which is PHASE 4, should see everything back to full capacity with precautions.

Public buses and Metro will resume but with limited services September 1st.

Let’s take a quick look at the numbers for yesterday’s COVID update – Which shows 1,368 new positive cases. 1,597 recoveries and unfortunately 3 fatalities.

Active cases are now 24,166 meaning a decrease of 232 in the last 24hrs
