The Qatar National Tourism Council or QNTC, in partnership with the United Development Company or UDC are to host a first of its kind virtual fashion show.

As a part of Qatar’s Summer Program the virtual fashion show will feature top local talent and the latest looks in evening wear, abayas and menswear. 

The event will be staged tomorrow night at the Pearl-Qatar, from 9pm. You can watch it live on the QNTC’s social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment or MME, removed around 124 tons ­of waste in one day from the country’s northern beaches during the Eid break.

And the MME has announced that is considering banning barbecues on all beaches in the country, due to the mess left behind by people when they leave.

Hammad Medical Corporation are to continue operating their Urgent Consultation Service, even though COVID cases have significantly dropped. 

The service is intended to reduce the number of people attending hospital facilities unless it’s absolutely necessary. Operating from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. You simply dial one six triple zero and speak to a triage doctor. Who will then connect you to one of the 13 specialty departments that will try and assist you remotely, reducing your time, effort and risk. And should medication be required, prescriptions can be delivered directly to your home. 

Now here’s a quick COVID update

Active cases drop by 36 to 3,107 in the last 24 hour period.

And the 7 day average of new infections is currently running at 7.22% of those tested.
