One of the hardest things about being on a diet, is when there is delicious food available free of charge. Like these delicious croissants in the Mandarin hotel this morning. I’ve munched on these delicious pastries many times before while waiting for guests. But today… no free pastries for me. I have to resist.
I’m still sad about yesterday’s disastrous scooter purchase. I buy my dream electric scooter after researching it for weeks. Managed to save a massive QR 400 by getting on offer from Lulu. Get it home. Assemble it. Wait 5 hours for it to charge full. Take it out for a spin, and it won’t run for me 😳 Back to Lulu I go, and after 1.5 hours with their staff, we conclude it’s my weight that’s the issue. Because for them it works every time, and for me it works only occasionally. Unboxed and tried another one, same this. But try a cheap lightweight scooter and it works for me fine. So anyway we conclude this scooter, my dream scooter, is not able to handle 126kg. Which is 6kg over the maximum 120kg it’s supposed to handle. Money refunded. No scooter anymore 😟BTW Lulu staff are awesome.
So these delicious and free croissants must stay away from my mouth. Because I want an electric scooter. And electric scooters don’t seem to like fat blokes like me.
