Contracts can now be signed in advance for 12 types of basic vegetables including; tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, eggplant and some different varieties of lettuce and herbs. This season will be the first time the guarantee scheme has been in place, and gives farmers peace of mind that they are going to get a good income.
