It’s Thursday 11th of June, this is the news in 60 seconds
It’s a very quiet day in the newspapers this morning. But I think I can fill 60 seconds for you.
The Qatar Tribune headline the fact, that government staff are going to be working from 7 am until 2pm, which is a seven hour working day. Starting from Sunday the 14th of June.
The Peninsula have an article on their front page explaining that Qatar Airways clocked up over 1.3 billion revenue passenger kilometers during the month of April. And they go on to say that, this is more than triple it’s nearest competitor, and more than the next four airlines combined together.
And Qatar Airways Cargo also continues to lead its sector with more than 900 million cargo tonne kilometers, accounting for 7.2 percent of the global market.
The Gulf Times says fitness equipment is in high demand as residents exercise at home. I’m guessing with the ability to train outdoors again, and soon in gym’s as well, that you are going to see a lot of secondhand fitness equipment on the market very soon.
Let’s take a quick look at the numbers for yesterday’s COVID update – Which shows 1,716 new positive cases. 1,844 recoveries and unfortunately 4 fatalities.
Active cases are now 24,116 meaning a decrease of 132 in the previous 24hrs
That’s all for today, please take care, and I’ll see ya tomorrow.
