Qatar is keen to maintain the unity of the GCC. The Foreign Minister says an initiative to resolve the Gulf crisis is under discussion in an overall positive atmosphere.

COVID-19 Vaccine on track to roll out in September. British paharma giant AstraZeneca has a vaccine on trial, which they are expecting to complete successfully by the end of summer. They have already begun production, so that in the event the vaccine achieves regulatory approval they can ship immediately. 

Banks have now joined retailers in asking you to show your green Ehteraz App to gain entry into their branches. This is something you can expect to see a lot more of in the coming days. 

The main works on the 5/6 park in Onaiza is now complete. The park named after the 5th of June to commemorate the illegal blockade of Qatar, includes an observatory and a walk in maze. And is located near the iconic 5/6 arches which are one of Qatar’s most prominent landmarks. 

Let’s take a quick look at the numbers for yesterday’s COVID update – Which shows 1,754 new positive cases. 1,467 recoveries and unfortunately 4 fatalities.

Active cases are now 24,511 meaning an increase of 283.
